21 October 2009 - Fisherman's Inn wins Laois Pub of the Year

The Fisherman's Thatched Inn may be located in the middle of nowhere, but as landlord Sean Ward will tell you, it's at the centre of everything!  The Fisherman's Inn involvement with the local community and the fact that it's such an original pub meant that it beat off stiff competition to be elected Best Licensed Premises 2009 (that's a posh expression for a pub) by Laois Chamber of Commerce last week.  Congratulations Sean!
